Pause the queue in a crisis

WhizSuite · 2026-08-25

The tool will not know the moment. A human has to have the right to hit pause.

Who may pause

Give at least two people the ability to unschedule a brand. A crisis that depends on one login is a second crisis.

Write a tiny rule: if you are unsure, pause first and ask second. A delayed post is easier to explain than a cheerful offer beside bad news.

What gets paused

Promotions, jokes, and anything pre-written. Utility messages the client still wants, such as a closure notice, can be drafted fresh. Do not let the old queue speak for a new situation.

Check every network. Pausing one scheduler and forgetting a native app is a classic miss.

Restart on purpose

Look at each paused post before it returns. Some will be tone-deaf for a while. Some will be fine tomorrow. Decide one by one.

Tell the client you paused. Silence looks like you did not notice.

Practice once

A drill sounds silly until you need it. Once a year, pause a test brand and confirm the posts do not go. Fix the permissions you find.

Keep the steps short enough to use while stressed. A six-page crisis plan will not be opened.
