Reels and cutdowns are separate rows
WhizSuite · 2026-10-12
Same footage, different post. The short one can say something the long one carefully did not.
Duration changes the claim
A cutdown often keeps the joke and drops the condition. The condition was the legal part. Review the short version as its own caption-plus-picture, because that is how a stranger will meet it.
Thumbnails differ too. The frame that wins the click might be a frame you never meant as the promise. Approve the cover, not just the timeline.
Captions do not inherit
Copying the long caption onto the short video makes a mess, or it repeats a disclaimer under a clip that no longer matches. Write the short caption on purpose.
If one version tags a partner and the other does not, those are different permissions. Ask.
Schedule them on purpose
Posting both in the same hour can be right or wasteful. Decide. Put two times on two rows. "We'll also cut it down" is not a time.
Cross-posting the same cut to another network is still another row if the caption or the crop changes. If nothing changes, you may keep one row with two destinations, and you should say that explicitly.
Keep the parent link
Note which master the cut came from so a later correction can find the children. When the price changes, you need every cut, not the one file you remember.
Archive the master with the client. A cut without a parent becomes a mystery asset in three months.
