An asset library per client
WhizSuite · 2026-07-25
Separation is a safety feature, not a filing aesthetic.
Walls between brands
Photos, logos, and exports for one client live in that client's space. People who do not work on the brand do not browse it. This protects you when a contractor joins for a week.
A "all clients" folder for convenience will be the folder everyone uses. Do not create it.
Inside the library, keep it dull
Current, archive, brand kit. Three doors. A clever taxonomy will be ignored under deadline. Dull folders get used.
Archive is not delete. You will need last season's shoot for a reason you cannot predict. You just do not want it in the current pile.
Rights travel with the file
If a photo needs credit or expires, write that next to the file. A beautiful image with unknown rights is a liability, not an asset.
When rights end, move the file out of current the same week. Memory will not do this.
Point the post at the file
The calendar row links to the exact asset. A row that says "use the spring photo" is how two people pick two springs.
If the link breaks, fix the library, not just the row. Broken links spread.
