Brief the model with the brand

WhizSuite · 2026-08-21

The quality of a draft is mostly the quality of what you handed over.

Give it the constraints

Offer, audience, format, length, words you refuse, and words you like. A prompt that says "write a fun caption" will be fun in a generic way. Fun is not a brief.

Include one good caption and one bad caption from this brand. Examples steer better than adjectives.

Do not paste secrets casually

Unreleased prices, personal data, and another client's work do not belong in a prompt you do not trust. Know what your tool retains. If you do not know, do not paste it. Ask for the policy and write the answer down.

A brand guide can be enough. A folder of customer emails is not a brand guide.

Ask for options, then stop

Three options are plenty. Ten options waste the editor and tempt you to blend them into mush. Pick one direction and rewrite it yourself.

If all three are wrong, fix the brief. Do not keep rolling the dice.

Save the brief with the post

The next person should see what was asked. A brilliant caption with no brief cannot be repeated. A weak caption with a clear brief can be fixed.

Store it on the row, not in a personal prompt library only you can open.
