DMs that are sales, not chatter

Treat a buying question like a lead. Treat a compliment like a compliment. Do not use one macro for both.
Spot the intent
Price, availability, booking, and "where do I buy this" are sales. Praise and tags are not. Train the inbox owner with five real examples of each from this client.
When intent is unclear, ask one question. Do not send a brochure.
Hand off without dropping
If sales happen in another tool, the handoff is part of the reply. "I've passed this to Sam, and you will hear by tomorrow" is complete. "Check the website" is how leads die.
Agree the handoff address and the hours with the client. A DM forwarded to a mailbox nobody opens is theater.
Do not invent stock
If you do not know availability, say you will check. A model or a macro that confirms stock is a liability. The owner needs a source or permission to be uncertain.
Update the macro the day an offer ends. Put that update on the same checklist as the caption.
Count them monthly
How many buying messages arrived, and how many got a real next step. If the number is large, community management is actually sales support and the fee should say so.
If the number is zero, you may be answering the wrong thing or posting where buyers are not.
