Hide the internal argument

WhizSuite · 2026-09-26

Transparency is not the same thing as showing every half thought.

Two rooms

The studio room holds drafts, disagreements, and messy file names. The client room holds the version you want a decision on. Mixing the rooms feels open. It also invites the client to manage your staff.

Move a post into the client room on purpose. If the default is "client can see everything," someone will forget a sarcastic note on a frame.

Notes have an audience

An internal pin can say "this headline is weak." That sentence should not render in the portal. Client-facing notes should be questions you actually want them to answer.

Review the thread once before you open access on a new client. Old sample comments from a demo account are an embarrassing way to start.

Status words they understand

"With strategy" means nothing to a founder. "Waiting on you" does. Translate internal stages into a few client phrases: in progress, needs your review, approved, scheduled.

Do not expose your staffing gaps as statuses. "Designer out sick" is a conversation, not a badge on their post.

When they ask to see more

Some clients want the sausage factory. Give them a monthly walkthrough, not a permanent seat in the internal board. A walkthrough is curated. A seat is a firehose.

If you do grant a wider seat, say what they are allowed to change. View access and edit access are different products.
