Voice notes are not markup

Talk if you need to. Then write the decision where the file is, or the talk will evaporate.
Why teams send them
Voice notes are faster than typing for the sender and slower than almost anything for the person who has to apply them. The designer listens at 1.5x, misses the price, and builds the wrong slide. Nobody wants to admit they need the note played again.
They also do not search. Next month you cannot find "the bit where she said the offer ends Sunday."
A useful translation
If a client will only talk, listen and send back five lines: what you heard, which file it applies to, and what you will change. Ask them to reply yes to those lines. The voice note is the conversation. The lines are the approval.
Do this the same day. A translated note on Friday about a Monday voice memo is fan fiction.
Where tone still matters
Some feedback is about feel, and a voice can carry it better than a pin. Fine. Use the voice to explain, then pin the specific frame you are changing so "warmer" becomes a direction on an object.
Internal voice notes have the same flaw. A strategist who leaves audio on five posts has created a queue only one person can drain. Write the point.
Set the house rule
Tell clients you are happy to jump on a ten-minute call, and that changes go into the post afterward. Most people accept a rule that still sounds respectful.
Your own team follows the same rule. If the account manager will not type the decision, the decision does not exist yet.
