Invoices behind the same door

WhizSuite · 2026-09-23

Money and creative drift apart when they live in different logins. The retainer is one relationship.

Same client, same entrance

Approvals teach the client where you live. Put the invoice next to that habit. A billing tool they open twice a year will always start with a password reset.

They should see their invoices, not everyone's. A shared billing login across brands is a confidentiality mistake waiting for a forwarded laptop.

Show what the month included

A total with no reference to the work feels like a subscription they forgot. A short list of the month's locked work, or the scope line from the contract, makes the number legible.

Do not dump raw time logs on a client who bought a retainer unless the contract says hours are the product. Logs without context start arguments.

Status they can trust

Sent, viewed, paid, overdue. Four words. "Processing" with no date is how finance and creative tell two stories.

The account manager should see the same status the client sees, so nobody promises that an invoice "just went out" when it is still a draft.

Keep creative blockers out of it

Do not hold a published post hostage to an unpaid invoice inside the same button. Handle collections as a conversation. Mixing them makes people afraid to approve.

You can still show the balance. Just do not make the yes button depend on it unless legal has told you to.
